Who are the Friends?

Friends of the Franklin Library is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting the Franklin Public Library in Franklin, MA.

What do we do?

Friends of the Franklin Library provide financial support for a variety of library-run programs, services, and initiatives, including:
  • Adult, teen, and children’s programs
  • Passes to area museums and attractions
  • Children’s Summer Reading Program
  • Technology and educational materials
  • Book, music, and movie supplements to
        the library collection
  • Items for The Library of Things

Why be a Friend?

  • Be a part of history by supporting the nation’s first public lending library

The Wilma Winters Scholarship Fund

Friends of the Franklin Library oversee
the annual Wilma Winters Scholarship Fund
awarded to one graduating senior in the
Franklin community.
